Gabe LOVES to play in the toilet. I can't seem to keep him out of them. He has figured out how to flip the lid and play. He thinks it is so funny when I go to get him he just turns around an swishes some more. I have gotten to the point that I have to shut the doors to the bathrooms but Easton forgets to shut the door when he is done. So Zac went to get Gabe out of the bathroom and this is what he found.
You have to know. I have a picture of me at about the same age, standing in the toilet.

27 and feeling old
For some reason this birthday has been a little bit harder than the other ones. I am 27. I am no long in my early or mid 20's. I am now in my LATE 20's. I am closer to 30 than I am 20. So needless to say I am feeling kinda old. I remember when my brothers were 27 and thinking that they were really old. I don't feel 27. I still feel 21 or even younger. WOW time flies.
Anyway, enough of my rantings. I did have a great birthday! My little sister in another life, Michele took me to dinner on Monday the 12. Well as we were eating I called Zac because some people form our ward were there and they said we had been evacuated. The refinery was on fire. Zac said that it wasn't mandatory, the kids were in bed and he didn't want to leave. I was a little worried. Michele and I were suposed to go to a movie but I went straight home instead. I talk to some officers on my way home and they said that if it was really bad they would have made it madatory, but we could do what we wanted to do. That made me feel better and we ended up not leaving.
My mom came down on my birthday(thursday the 15th) and brought me a cake in my new cookie sheet! I was so excited for a cookie sheet. Lame I know but I only have one good one. She watched the boys while Jennie (my good friend) took me to Macaroni grill. We had so much fun. They came and sang to me and I told him how old I was and our waiter was like noway! I thought you were like 23ish. That made my day! The boys sent me flowers they were beautiful (see pic below). Zac got me and him a new ring. He lost his wedding at the gym a few months back and we had been looking for matching ones. I wanted to wear it on my right hand. They ended up not being same same but they do go together.
Then Friday we went to Market Street grill with Jennie and Tyson and we tried orysters for the first time. YUCK! I will never eat them again. That night Zac and I stayed at the Radisson. Thanks Hollie and Den for taking the kids. Your the best! Saturday we got up and went to the Cafe Sabor in Park City for lunch. It was sooooo yummy. I would eat there everyday if I could. Then we did some shopping. I got a new "real" swimsuit. My New Year's resolution is to do a triathonlon, so I need a suit, goggles, swim cap and new running shoes to train in. I have yet to use them but I promise I will. I take that back, I have used the shoes. We went to see Marley and Me later that night. I balled my eyes out, even though I new what was coming from reading the book, then we went back to the hotel. We had so much fun staying up late and getting movies on demand. Thanks Zac for a great weekend. Your the best!

Easton's quote of the day
We just got a new gym membership to the South Davis Rec center and I LOVE it. They have an indoor track, 2 pools, one with a BIG slide, an ice rink, etc. It is great fun, I decided to go to the gym at like 5:30 tonight. We were driving around the parking lot looking for a dang place to park. After driving around for what seemed like ages I said:
ME: It is butt crowded here!
Easton: Ya and there are little butts and big butts
I just busted up laughing.

Walk this way!
Well he's walkin'. Mr. Gaber has been walking for about a month now. I know I am slow at getting around to blogging about it, there has just been so much going on.
Easton is so smart. He loves to play the Wii and can turn it on, make sure it is on the right channel, Load his game, switch games and can switch to the nun chuck, all by himself. I don't even know how to do the nun chuck. He also loves to play the computer. I will get him on the Nick jr. website, PBS kids website or playhouse Disney and he knows how to navigate through them with out any help. He is getting so much easier. I can finally somewhat reason with him and he comprehends things better, which makes it easier to get to him to understand why he needs to do something, etc. He says and does some of the funniest things. (picture below for example) He has a lot of energy and loves to play fight with his dad. Gabe is finally starting to get in on the action. One thing that is hard is that he isn't very nice to his brother. I am sure it will get better with time but it makes my life hard. I usually keep them separated. Gabe usually hangs out with me and Easton is usually doing his own thing. I know that sounds bad but it is the only way I can get stuff done during the day. It is getting a little better though. They do like to race there trucks together, but Easton doesn't get that Gabe doesn't understand things and that makes Easton so frustrated. In due time I guess.

Sick, Sick, Sick
This morning I wake up at like 1 am to a little boy in bed with us. He loves to come in and sleep between us sometiems (thank goodness for king beds) so I didn't think anything of it. Well not 5 minuets later I heard a interesting noise and realized he was throwing up in our bed! Yuck! I immediately sat up and grabbed him. When I new it was safe, so he wouldn't puke on the carpet I ran him to the bathroom. The poor little guy hasn't moved from the couch all day and he can't keep anything down, not even water. He said to me, "Mom I'm sick. I need to go to the Dr. " I told him the dr. couldn't make this better. So he said he needed his steam. He had bronchitis over Christmas and we had to give him breathing treatments to make him breath better. I thought it was so cute that he knew when he was sick that going to the dr. and getting his treatments were supposed to make him feel better. Not this time bud. Sorry.

Church
Our church has moved to 1 and i HATE it. I am going to be inactive for this year, ok I am kidding. Anyway, today Easton got to go to Sunbeams for the very first time. I still can't get over the fact that I have a child old enough to go to Primary. This year there theme is about Eternal families. So today they were talking about when they come to Earth they go through the veil and forget what it was like up in heaven. The sharing time teacher asked the kids what they had forgotten when they came to Earth. She turned to Easton and asked him, his reply, "My race car!"

Christmas 08
Well I finally decided to post. I will make it short and sweet.
For Christmas we had a house full. Zac's mom flew in from Las Vegas, His sister Wende came from Nebraska and his sister Hollie and her husband Dennis live here in SLC. This was the first Christmas we got to stay home and have Santa come to our house. It was also the first year Easton really understood Santa. We made cookies for Santa and left carrots for the reindeer, he loved it. Gabe sat on his new Elmo airplane and took it all in. I think he was a little overwhelmed by it all. We got a lot of fun things. Easton got a Thomas track and a speed racer track and lots of fun books. Gabe got a fun Elmo airplane and an Elmo chair. Zac go
t lots of Husker stuff and I got a cute cute necklace from my boys, and all of us got a Wii!
